Our Story

With the purchase of a modest casket business in 1968, James B. Bourgeois began his company’s early years manufacturing caskets with a hammer and nails. Due to increasing demands and the rise in popularity of steel and hardwood caskets, his business grew from a small manufacturing warehouse to a large distribution facility. Our father founded our company on the simple belief that we will deliver a quality product at an honest price. He kept his costs low and his service levels high. 

In 2005, Bourgeois Casket Company experienced a great change with the loss of its patriarch. The company’s legacy of honesty, hard work and dedicated service continues with the dream he started many years ago. As second generation successors, we adhere to the core values set forth long ago … to strive to be an asset to our customers and the families who select our products.

In 2019, we were proud to celebrate our 50th year in the funeral supply business. Although our business has seen changes, our reputation has always been to offer high quality products with great customer service without any compromises.
